Hours: 40 hours/week

Salary: From £28,000, depending on experience

Your role and responsibilities

Southfields Veterinary Specialists are currently recruiting for a talented Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) to join our anaesthesia department, supporting all disciplines in providing exceptional patient care at our busy, multidisciplinary referral hospital.

Through discussion with the anaesthesia team, you will prepare patient anaesthesia plans and support patients undergoing scheduled and emergency procedures, including soft tissue, orthopaedics Emergency and Critical Care (ECC), oncology, imaging, and neurology.

You will be exposed to a range of anaesthesia and analgesia techniques, such as CRIs, nerve blocks and epidurals. You will have access to state-of-the-art monitoring equipment and be trained in advanced monitoring techniques including, intra-arterial blood pressure monitoring, capnography, ECG, and arterial blood gas analysis, to ensure our patients receive the highest level of care.

You will see a large and varied referral and emergency caseload, working within an exceptional team and developing your career whilst being exposed to cases from all disciplines. This is a rewarding and challenging role that will require teamwork and dedication to the service and its patients.

Referral experience is not essential as full training and support will be provided, however experience of, and an interest in, anaesthesia is essential.
