Position Summary

This position is responsible for supporting in the execution of workshop or aircraft cabin installation projects to achieve budget, safety, quality, and on-time delivery targets

Main Responsibilities

  • Functional Team Lead of Technicians and Certifying Workshop Technicians

  • Sets example and expectation by working jobs themselves 

  • Performs & guides Technicians on complex manufacturing tasks in accordance with appropriate documentation (drawings). 

  • Able to lead a team up to 6 people

  • Assigns, assists, and verifies upon completion. Ensure compliance to standard Jet Basel procedures, practices and practices to achieve our JBSL quality standards requirements

  • Responsible for the quality of their products.

  • Ensures good communication with the aircraft or shop supervisor and within the team.

  • Coordinates with internal and external suppliers to ensure efficient and effective project execution

  • Ensures the jobs are performed on the project in accordance with the relevant documentation

  • collaborate with the stakeholders on problems / modifications and product development & prototyping.

  • In charge of the cleanliness and tidiness of the work area, plus enforces tool control of others

Additional Main Responsibilities

  • Ensures the team follows environmental and safety regulations, and escalates any issues

  • Efficiently evaluates time and tasks, and manages paperwork and correct WO bookings

  • Informs superior on daily basis about the job progression and issue(s).

  • Encourages job skill development and personal growth within the team.

  • Work with the upstream and downstream stakeholders to develop and implement technical process improvements that increase safety, reduce cost and cycle time

  • Performs other related duties as required or assigned, and performs as deputy

Minimum Requirements

  • Meets requirements for Workshop Technician (Level III) or Certified Workshop Technician (based on business need)

  • Good technical knowledge

  • Basic level of English minimum B1 (B2 preferred) / Must be able to read and understand Engineering data and maintenance tasks in English manuals. Other languages (French and / or German) desirable

  • Familiar with aviation authorities (FOCA, EASA, FAA,..) procedures and processes

  • Has demonstrated leadership skills

  • Has demonstrated release authorization (Level II)

  • Strong personal values corresponding with Jet Aviation values (Trust, Honesty, Alignment, Transparency)

  • Team player and self-motivated

  • Ability to work under tight deadlines
