Teradyne Hardware Engineer in Basak, Lapu-Lapu City, Philippines

Organization & Role

The Teradyne Hardware Engineering team is looking for a highly-motivated, energetic, technically driven Hardware Engineer to focus on the development of hardware systems for products within the division. Development occurs in a dynamic and challenging multi-site development environment. This individual will report directly to the Engineering Manager.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Assist in creating new PCBs by validating circuit designs and making changes to meet specifications.

  • Participate in design reviews and recommend improvements.

  • Prepare and perform a design verification plan based on schematics layout files.

  • Develop standards and guidelines to ensure quality and performance.

  • Perform manual design verification on PCBs using test equipment like Oscilloscope, Signal analyzer, DMM, etc.

  • Review parts with AVL issues (out of stock, obsolete) and provide resolutions, including verification of current designs.

  • Identify and Recommend design changes for quality improvements based on Design Validation results

  • Perform schematic design updates or improvements.

Basic Qualifications, Education & Skills Required:

  • A graduate of Bachelor of Science in Electrical or Electronics Engineering

  • Expert in Analog circuit design and DC to DC converters including Buck converters.

  • Experience or with a working knowledge in schematic and PCB design tools like Cadence Allegro, Mentor, or any other tools is a plus

  • A technical person who can quickly provide electrical insight during design reviews.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Has a high sense of urgency

  • Can work with less to no Supervision

  • Able to join (once) weeknight Staff Meetings to collaborate with offshore teams.
