Vontier Engineer, Electronics Engineering in Barueri-sp, Brazil
Purpose of Position
The Embedded Hardware Engineer is responsible for executing development projects that include PCB design and system level design. Project time-to-market, functionality, quality, and reliability of designed hardware are key deliverables.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and execute embedded hardware solutions to address business needs across Fueling Solutions platforms.
Design systems that are efficient, scalable, maintainable, and accurately meet the needs of the business.
PCB design and layout knowledge.
Familiarity with serial protocols such as RS-485/CANBUS and GPIO manipulation.
Real time digital I/O hardware, microcontroller coding, and RTOS experience.
Analog design experience desired.
Participate or lead PCBA design reviews.
Work cross functionally to plan projects for feasibility, risk, and level of effort.
Relationships
Position reports directly to the Embedded Systems Manager/Team Lead.
Position is key member of the Fueling Solutions Engineering team.
Position interacts with Program Management, Marketing, Product Support and Engineering stakeholders.
Measures of Performance
Product development project schedule performance.
Meeting objectives for organizational projects.
Upstream quality improvements
Graduated in Electronic Engineering or equivalent
Experience developing Printed Circuit Board Assemblies
Experience releasing hardware projects
Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing
Licensed on the Board of Professional Engineers
