We are adding to the team as a new facility is underway! If you have a background in Quality Control and a passion for high quality food products, then this is the position for you!

Shift: Day shift (8a-5p)

As a Quality Control Assistant Manager you will:

Support the quality manager, help open the new facility

Set up SOPs, lead investigations, work on root cause analysis, work with internal teams *R&D, production, maintenance, etc.), work with clients on any complaints, complete audits.

Complete quality programs and audits and ensures compliance with customer requirements, USDA and FDA regulations, GMPs, HACCP, as well as all Food safety and sanitation policies, procedures and guidelines. Monitors pest control program and assures corrective actions are implemented.

Participate in investigation and resolution of customer complaints, reject product episodes.

Have the responsibility of Lab analysis and their evaluation; trend the results of finished product.

Maintain updated all documentation regarding raw materials suppliers and has the responsibility to prepare specs.

Maintain contacts with raw materials suppliers for non-conformity and agrees corrective actions.

Managing of raw materials, finished products and environmental test analysis plan.

Maintain contact with the external labs.

In collaboration with QSM, updating of finished product specs.

Pre-shipment review.

Positive Release

Management of Hold and Release

Management of QC team

Provides trainings to QC team and production team

Monthly review of quality issues and RFT

Management of shelf life trials and industrial trials

Management of daily production issues

Management of Pest Control

This is a full time, Direct Hire opportunity.

The ideal candidate will have:

Bachelors Degree in Chemistry, Biology, or any related science

5+ years of experience in quality control of food manufacturing

3+ years in management

HACCP Certification required, USDA, FDA and GMP knowledge.

Chilled or refrigeration experience preferred

Spanish language skills are a plus

Salary: \$80,000 - 85,000/year plus bonus
