The IT Auditor is an integral part of Phillips 66 Internal Audit organization, participating in a broad range of activities covering technology-related evaluations in support of the company’s Information Technology capability and delivery, as well as business processes assessments. Assignments are based on individual skill sets, preferences, and development needs.
Internal Audit’s mission is to protect and enhance organizational value by providing risk-based and objective assurance, advice, and insight, while providing staff development opportunities. Internal Audit helps Phillips 66 accomplish its objectives by bringing a systematic, disciplined approach to evaluate and improve the effectiveness of governance, risk management, and control processes.
The Internal Audit function utilizes assurance and consulting activities to support its mission and to enhance the value provided to the business units. Activities include traditional assurance audits and SOX 404 compliance testing. Consulting activities are also provided to assist the IT function and businesses in delivering effective solutions that appropriately manage risk.
Responsibilities May Include:
Performing information systems audits, assessing risks and controls
Communicating audit results through verbal and written means to executive and business unit management
Providing input into development of the annual audit plan through evaluation of the organization’s IT systems, processes, and related risks
Keeping current with industry and corporate computing direction, identifying where emerging technology presents areas for review and risk mitigation, and working with IT to ensure that risks are adequately addressed
Working closely with financial and operational business auditors to assist on information technology-related activities
Contributing to Internal Audit’s analytics and automation capabilities that include automating audit testing procedures
Working closely with external auditors in support of their reliance on Internal Audit’s SOX engagements
Required Qualifications:
Legally authorized to work in the job posting country
Bachelor's degree
1 or more years of IT or IT Audit experience
Ability to manage projects and produce high quality and timely results away from the home office, without direct supervision
Ability to travel 10 - 30% of the time to domestic and international locations
Preferred Qualifications:
Ability to adapt to different technologies and grasp technical issues quickly
Technical Experience/Capability in one or more of the following areas:
Identity and Access Management
SAP
Cloud technologies
Analytics technologies (PowerBI and other Power Platform tools)
Project management
Industrial Control Systems
Network and firewall management
Domain controllers
Operating Systems (Windows, UNIX/Linux, Virtual Infrastructure)
Scripting/coding
Highly motivated and enthusiastic
Experience with process flows, control identification or risk mitigation
Ability to work in small teams, as an individual contributor or team leader
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the confidence to interact effectively with all levels of the organization
Ability to relate IT issues to business-related risks, arriving at cost-effective recommendations
Experience in auditing
CISA, CIA, CISSP or other professional certifications
Understanding of The IIA’s International Standards for the Professional Practice of Internal Auditing
