Eaton’s ES AMER PCS CA division is currently seeking a Field Service Representative Intern.

What you’ll do:

Field Service Representative Internship (4-month) - Barrie, ON, Canada

Eaton has an opening for an Internship: Field Service Representative position for 4 months. This position is in Barrie, ON.

Primary Function :

This position is responsible for working with the Electrical Engineering Service & Systems group to provide on-site engineering and technical assistance in areas of electrical equipment maintenance, new equipment commissioning, custom electrical equipment modification, wiring, controls, drives and breakers for both Ottawa location.

Essential Functions:

• Assist Field Service personnel in a wide variety of electrical work.

• Assist in creating detailed and quality reports to customers covering the scope of work performed.

• Follow required safety practices.

• Manage paperwork and office procedures, as required.

• Perform all work at a high level.

• Be willing and available to work evenings and weekends, as required by our customers.

• Perform all job functions with adherence to Eaton’s Philosophy and Values, as well as Safety and Environmental standards.

• Perform other duties, as required.

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

• Currently enrolled in an Electrical Engineering Degree program or Electrical Engineering Technology Diploma program or Internship Program; or Technician/Technologists.

• This position does not offer relocation.

• Valid driver’s license required.

• Legally authorized to work in Canada without company sponsorship.

Skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• 0 - 5 years of experience in manufacturing electrical controls and/or power distribution products.

• Good organizational and time management skills.

• Strong analytic skills using Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.

• Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office).

• Ability to read and understand blueprints and schematics.

• Mechanical aptitude.

• Good attitude and work ethic.
