Description

The Manager, Planning is responsible for evaluating global demand, production capacity analysis, communicating to the customers (BOPU) and Ingelheim for distributors confirmations of demand supply, supervising, controlling and administering all functional phases of the planning operations for Nexgard and Heartgard value streams. Manages and motivate direct reports to achieve planned objectives. Responsible for performing and/or managing all the planning activities of manufacturing and packaging, inventory and materials management, and In Line Extensions implementation for Barceloneta site. Coordinates and interpret projected sales and inventories to production plans, financial budget and production resources utilization. Develop and implement production plans and schedules for the site supply chain. Report on key performance indicators. Design and maintain up-to-date the appropriate planning tools. Responsible for the planning of all direct materials to support production plans. Main contact with Global Supply Chain. Duties & Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Bachelor Degree from an accredited institution in Business Administration, Science or Engineering. Industrial Engineering is highly preferred.

  • Minimum of seven (7) years of experience in a similar position (planning, warehouse, supply chain) in a manufacturing environment or related field.

  • At least three (3) years of supervisory experience with strong organization skills.

  • Experience working in SAP environment.

  • Knowledge and experience with lean six sigma methods and tools. Yellow or Green Belt certification preferred.

  • Must understand technical terms related to planning and production and be able to follow and understand plant procedures and site policies.

  • Knowledge in Microsoft Office (Word, Power point, Visio, Excel and statistical analysis software) and other programs related to the role.

  • Excellent organizational, supervisory, and leadership skills to manage a team and technical staff.

  • Technical English and Spanish, oral and written communication.

  • Leadership skills, including but not limited to delegation, motivation, influencing, conflict management, teamwork, and negotiation.

  • Problem solving and decision making skills.

  • Ability to work with people at all levels.

  • Conflict resolution and technical writing skills.

  • Root cause analysis and problem solving.

  • Influencing and negotiation skills.

  • Communication skills in Spanish and English (technical), verbal and written.

  • Able to analyze complex problems in technical systems to gather conclusions of its functionality
