Amazon Transportation Risk Manager, Transport Risk and Compliance in Barcelona, Spain

Amazon is the most customer-centric company on earth. We are looking for an organized self-starter to join the Transportation Risk and Compliance (TRC) team at Amazon.

Amazon Transportation Services have built a world-class Middle Mile operation, which rely on an exceptional pool of carriers who work relentlessly to meet our customers’ expectations. TRC is looking for an individual to join us as a Transportation Audit and Compliance Manager to audit Amazon Middle-Mile carrier partners’ compliance against contractual and legal requirements, and drive a compliance culture both internally and externally.

We are looking for an individual with strong audit, risk and compliance experience, preferably in transport, who can apply their expertise to 1) analyze risks of the different programs in the middle mile space in Europe, 2) identify compliance safety, regulatory and reputational risks, and propose risk-mitigation solutions, 3) drive complex and data driven investigations involving multiple stakeholders and 4) be able to present conclusions to senior leadership.

The successful candidate will have exceptional attention to details and strong data-driven and tech mindset and capabilities, but also excellent soft skills for stakeholder management and earning teams trust. Finally, the successful candidate will display good team spirit and autonomy.

Key job responsibilities

· Act as a Risk & Compliance program manager, understand and be able to audit carriers and drive improvement on our processes.

· Design and perform carrier audits on risk topics, testing their compliance

· Lead complex investigations involving internal or external leads on risky topics to conclude based on structured root cause analysis

· Provide precise reports to both carrier partners and Amazon leadership with clear finding details and actionable corrective actions wherever required,

· Conduct short-notice compliance audits with flexibility, high quality standards and autonomy

· Analyze not only isolate cases but be able to create risk big pictures covering operational risks across the European network.

· Meet individual and team goals with the highest standards and diligence

· Lead and/or participate in special projects and/or assignments as necessary (Europe wide or WW)

· Act as a project manager for TRC Europe Middle Mile; driving tech and process improvements, analyzing risks and proposing solutions

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent

  • Experience in compliance program management, legal, governance, audit, risk/loss prevention, or equivalent

  • Experience handling confidential information

  • Experience with research and investigation skills or equivalent

  • Experience in program or project management

Preferred Qualifications

  • Professional auditing qualification, or similar risk or compliance credentials

  • Experience with SQL and Excel

  • Experience in program requirements definition, together with data and metrics leveraging to drive improvements
