Overview: As an ADMS Functional Consultant, you will play a crucial role in implementing and optimizing the Advanced Distribution Management System (ADMS)** within an electric utility. Your expertise will contribute to enhancing grid reliability, improving outage management, and streamlining grid operations. Responsibilities: 1. ADMS Implementation and Integration: - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, configure, and deploy the ADMS solution. - Ensure seamless integration of ADMS components, including SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition), OMS (Outage Management System), and DMS (Distribution Management System). 2. Requirements Gathering and Analysis: - Work closely with business stakeholders to understand their operational needs. - Translate business requirements into functional specifications for ADMS implementation. 3. Solution Design and Documentation: - Lead the design of ADMS functionalities based on utility requirements. - Document system architecture, data flows, and configuration details. 4. Testing and Validation: - Develop test plans and scenarios for ADMS functionality. - Conduct system testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), and performance validation. 5. Training and Support: - Train end-users and system administrators on ADMS functionalities. - Provide ongoing support during system rollout and post-implementation. 6. Continuous Improvement: - Stay informed about industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies related to ADMS. - Propose enhancements to optimize ADMS performance and adapt to evolving grid needs.
