Job Description Summary:

Assist in the development, implementation, and administration of compensation programs and policies in alignment with OCH strategy to ensure programs and practices are market competitive and legally compliant.

Job Description:

Job Responsibilities (listed in order of importance and/or time spent)

  • Assist in the development and administration of broad-based compensation programs & policies through conducting market research, analysis, audits, system testing, and communications.

  • Provide compensation consultation to HR Business Partners and other business leaders.

  • Provide analytical and administrative support for the annual merit & bonus cycle, salary structure design & maintenance, and annual incentives through data collection, cost modeling, requirements documentation, testing/auditing, and customer support.

  • Maintain compensation market data and participate in compensation salary surveys.

  • Conduct job evaluations.

  • Assist in the administration of special pay practices such as on-call/callback pay, and shift differential pay.

  • Partner with talent acquisition to review & recommend compensation changes.

  • Partner with HR Technology to leverage HRIS system for data integrity, and administration of compensation processes.

  • Assist in the development of compensation communication materials.

Basic Education and/or Experience Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, HR, or Economics, and 1-2 years of compensation or analytical HR experience,

OR

High school diploma and 4-5 years of compensation or analytical HR experience.

Basic Qualifications & Interests (BQIs)

  • Knowledge of confidentiality requirements associated with the practice of Human Resources.

  • Knowledge of various job evaluation techniques, salary survey practices and methodologies, salary structures, job documentation, the elements of total rewards, and career ladder concepts.

  • Intermediate/advance level skill in Microsoft Office 2003 or later: Word (for example: creating and modifying text styles, numbering and sorting lists, working with sections and columns, formatting tables, and using templates and using diagrams and drawing tools), Excel (for example: vlook-up, formulas, pivot tables, graphs and charts, formatting text and borders of cells, working with workbooks and worksheets, using range names, referencing cells, sorting, and auto filtering, etc.) and PowerPoint (for example: creating presentations, adding and removing slides, entering and formatting text, applying design templates, modifying masters, inserting graphics and objects, creating handouts).

  • Knowledge of applicable wage & hour laws.

  • Experience providing customer service to internal and external customers, including meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.

  • Minimal travel (less than 10%)

Preferred Qualifications & Interests (PQIs)

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources

  • Certified Compensation Professional certification

Due to state pay transparency laws, the full range for the position is below:

Salary to be determined by the applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.

Pay Range is $68,841.68-$114,714.07
