Covenant Health PHARMACY TECHNICIAN in Bangor, Maine

Position Summary:

Under the direct supervision of the Director of Pharmacy, they prepare and assist in dispensing controlled and non-controlled medications, in accordance with State and Federal regulations, physician orders, and hospital standards of practice. Individuals will be required to perform tasks consistent with the Mission and Core Values of SJH. Will need to display effective communication skills with individuals within and outside the department of Pharmacy. Perform all tasks associated with documentation required by regulation and hospital standard of practice. Performs all duties associated with sterile product preparation, the main pharmacy department including automated medication dispensing modules, and retail pharmacy / employee prescription services. Will need to be available to work 7-days a week, including holidays, during the departments' posted hours of operation. Maintain a high level of productivity and patient / customer satisfaction.

Education: High School Diploma/GED

Experience: No previous experience

Licensure: Maine Pharmacy Technician License (after hired)

Certification: Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) (within six months of hire)

The starting rate for this position is:$18.07/hr.

Rate of pay displayed reflects the beginning of the pay scale. At the time of an offer, determination of your offer will reflect your skills and experience as it relates to the position.
