The Global Partner Solutions (GPS) team is a sales organization accountable for the commercial partner business at Microsoft, and the mission is to build and sell Microsoft Cloud applications, services and devices with partners, empowering people, and organizations to achieve more.

As a Channel Sales Manager you will work with our Priority Partners. You will work closely with them to drive sales at scale and to deliver revenue impact to the business. You will provide Sales Readiness and Deal Coaching and Manage Top Deal Execution. This opportunity will allow you to deepen your Solution Area Knowledge, Grow your Business Acumen and hone your skills in Sales Leadership

Responsibilities

  1. Own a Solution Area Sales Plan with Top partners

  2. Create a joint SA sales plan with your set of Territory Partners that is designed to drive Solution Area sales.

  3. Institute a regular Sales Rhythm to ensure sales execution

  4. Lead a monthly Sales ROB to ensure scale execution. Provide support for any commercial/tech blockers through an extended team of resources.

  5. Provide Sales Readiness and Deal Coaching

  6. Accelerate sales performance through your Territory Partners. Coach the partner on the Solution Area value conversation. Support scale campaigns to accelerate revenue growth. Act conduit between the Partner and Microsoft sellers.

  7. Leverage Programs/Investments to accelerate deals

  8. Leverage all incentives, programs and available resources to ensure deal acceleration and execution

  9. Manage top deals

  10. Support the partner in driving top key deals to deliver revenue impact to the business. Assist in removing blockers and coach on compete challenges

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications (RQs/MQs)

  • 10+ years of core sales, channel sales, industry or solution selling, business development experience.

  • OR Bachelor's Degree in Sales, Marketing, Business Operations, Business Administration or related field AND 4+ years of core sales, channel sales, industry or solution selling, business development experience

  • OR Master's Degree in Sales, Marketing, Business Operations, Business Administration or related field AND 3+ years of core sales, channel sales, industry or solution selling, business development experience

Additional or Preferred Qualifications (PQs)

  • 12+ years of core sales, channel sales, industry or solution selling, business development experience

  • OR Bachelor's Degree in Sales, Marketing, Business Operations, Business Administration or related field AND 7+ years of core sales, channel sales, industry or solution selling, business development experience

  • OR Master's Degree in Sales, Marketing, Business Operations, Business Administration or related field AND 5+ years of core sales, channel sales, industry or solution selling, business development experience.
