Job Summary :

The Product Owner is responsible for defining the vision for a product, managing the product backlog, and ensuring that the development team delivers a high-quality product that meets user needs and business goals. This role involves working closely with stakeholders, including customers, business leaders, and the development team, to ensure that the product delivers maximum value.

Based at our Bangalore India corporate office, you will report directly to the Data & Insight Leader for ISC

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define and communicate the product vision and strategy to stakeholders and the development team.

  • Align the product vision with the overall business strategy and goals.

  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify opportunities and threats.

  • Create, prioritize, and maintain the product backlog, ensuring it reflects the product vision and business priorities.

  • Write clear and concise user stories, acceptance criteria, and other documentation to guide the development team.

  • Continuously refine and adjust the backlog based on feedback, changing requirements, and business priorities.

  • Work closely with stakeholders, including customers, business leaders, and the development team, to gather requirements and feedback.

  • Facilitate communication between stakeholders and the development team to ensure alignment and understanding.

  • Act as the primary point of contact for all product-related inquiries and decisions.

  • Collaborate with the development team during sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives to ensure successful delivery of product increments.

  • Provide clear guidance and support to the development team, answering questions and addressing issues as they arise.

  • Ensure that the development team understands the product vision, goals, and priorities.

  • Plan and coordinate product launches, including marketing, training, and support activities.

  • Monitor and analyse product performance, using metrics and feedback to drive continuous improvement.

  • Identify and address any issues or challenges that arise post-launch.

  • Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies.

  • Continuously seek opportunities to improve the product, processes, and team performance.

  • Foster a culture of innovation and collaboration within the product team.

Qualifications:

· Education: Bachelor’s degree in business, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.

· Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Product Owner, Product Manager, or a related role.

Key Competencies:

  • Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and experience working in Agile development environments.

  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.

  • Experience with product management tools (e.g., Jira, Trello or similar) is a plus.

  • Knowledge of software development processes and technologies is a plus.
