Job Description

Summary of Role:

The Senior Security Awareness and Training Lead is responsible for the management of projects supporting the global security awareness and training program. They will develop and deliver communications campaigns and training plans to ensure our program exceeds compliance requirements and encourages security-minded behaviors. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail and experience working with global audiences. This position will report to the Global Security Awareness Leader within the enterprise cybersecurity organization .

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage projects that strategically align with the vision of the program, which is to not only change behaviors but create a strong, positive security culture.

  • Work across different functions and business units to identify our top human risk s and the behaviors we need to change to manage those risks.

  • Develop communications and training plans that educate and reinforce desired behaviors.

  • Clearly and effectively communicate complex information to empower employees and contractors to help secure RTX’s information assets and people.

  • Develop mixed media (infographics, presentation, videos, tip sheets) in support of awareness and training efforts .

  • Develop training and modify curated content to meet company requirements .

  • Develop, conduct, and report on intelligence-based social engineering exercises.

  • Analyze project metrics to inform adjustments and improvements .

  • Drive effective, cross-functional project communications, providing the visibility and transparency needed to ensure stakeholder alignment.

  • Identify project risks and drive the implementation of recommended mitigations.

  • Prepare reports and presentations on program health and success metrics .

  • Develop briefs and resources to reinforce the strategic importance of a culture of security .

    Years of Experience:

  • 10 years prior relevant experience with a University degree or equivalent experience or

  • 7 years experience with an Advanced Degree in a related field

    Preferred Qualitification :

  • Experience marketing complex messages in a simple, clear, and engaging manner

  • Proficient in assessing and applying different communication and engagement methods (blogging, videos, digital messaging, printed materials, events, etc.) to bring awareness and enable employees .

  • Program and project management experience .

  • Strong business acumen, strategic, and critical thinking

  • Competent in the concepts of organizational behavior, culture, and how culture impacts how people behave, learn, and interact with others.

  • Competent in learning theory or instructional design, including models such as ADDIE.

  • Competent in the latest cybersecurity risks, threat actors and their changing tactics.

  • Familiarity/experience with compliance standards and programs such as CMMC 2.0, NIST, GDPR, and ISO27001

  • SANS Security Awareness Professional (SSAP) credential or any certifications in Organizational Change, Marketing, or Instructional Design is considered a plus.
