Overview:
Product Owner is recognized as the go to leader and works collaboratively and adaptively to constantly meet the needs of customers and deliver value to Collins Aerospace.
The Product Owner will provide leadership to link the product mission, strategy, and processes with solutions to be met in an efficient, secure, sustainable, agile, and adaptable manner.
Key Responsibilities:
Single point of contact for the assigned product(s) in the domain of Air Traffic Management / UAS Traffic Management
Serve as Product Management proxy and decision point to represent stakeholders for the assigned product(s)
Understand core customer requirements and guide team towards an optimal technical solution
Drive technical discussions to increase product foothold/customer base
Own functional solution, work closely with cross functional team of UX/UI designers, developers and test engineers to ensure smooth delivery of requirements and product releases
Understand the technical architecture including constraints related to platforms, standards and skillsets
Ensure the product architecture/design is as per the needs of the users
Use independent judgment to make decisions in day-to-day job responsibilities
Review and integrate all application requirements, including functional, integration, security, performance, quality, and operations
Follow up the activities and team commitments to deliver the right solution at the right time
Participate in architecture review and make all final decisions regarding solution development
Think independently to solve complex problems, and effectively articulate decisions to the team before detailing the requirements
Apply techniques and skills required to identify a root cause of a given software integration issue
Understand and implement Agile practices throughout product life cycle
Review, accept and sign off deliverables to the satisfaction of the stakeholders
Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science/Electronics/Aerospace or similar discipline
18+ years’ experience in building medium to large scale software solutions
8+ years’ experience in Systems Design & Development
Well versed with Air Traffic Management, UTM systems & standards
Well versed with ATC Operations
Well versed with Communication, Navigation and Surveillance
Experience in defining vision and roadmap for the assigned product in consultation with business leaders
Experience in creating/refining product backlogs
Strong influencing and communication skills
Familiarity with multiple programming languages - Java, .Net, Python, C++ etc
Good to have:
Experience in airport procedures/operations
Experience in Total Airspace and Airport Modeller
End to end Product Development experience in Avionics/Aviation domain coupled with Product Owner certification
Willingness to travel for demo/discussions with customer
