The Networking Managed Services Engineer (L1) is responsible for providing a managed service to clients to ensure that their IT infrastructure and systems remain operational through proactively identifying, investigating, and resolving technical incidents and problems and restoring service to clients by managing incidents to resolution. This role has the primary objective is to ensure zero missed service level agreement (SLA) conditions. This role focuses on first-line support for standard and low complexity incidents and service requests.

This role may also contribute to / support on project work as and when required.

Working at NTT

  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience in Cisco R&S

  • Bachelors or higher level degree in Computer Science or a closely related field.

  • Mandatory certification(s): CCNA R&S

Job Description:

We are currently looking for a Network engineer – L1 to support the business in achieving its strategic objective.

The candidate should have Good knowledge and worked on

  • Cisco Router and Switches

  • Cisco access points and controller

  • Carrier issues troubleshooting

  • Network routing protocols

  • Switching – VTP, Trunk, Spanning tree,port security and redundancy protocols

  • Basic knowledge on Cisco Viptela and Meraki SDWAN solution

Job Responsiblities:

What we expect you to do

  • Work assigned tickets to determine the point of failure and resolve problems remotely utilizing available tools and other Operation Center resources.

  • Work and escalate problems effectively in order to meet customer SLA's (service level agreements); escalate to higher level engineers or Management if unable to resolve the issue.

  • Requires basic to advanced level knowledge and understanding of architecture, applications, infrastructure, systems support and integrations related to network

  • Have a clear understanding of Cisco network deployment models and should understand the functioning of Cisco routers and switches.

  • Troubleshoot LAN and WAN incidents.

  • Implement changes and conduct testing

  • Monitor and manage network components to deliver proactive support to client.

  • Should have good knowledge on network routing protocols(EIGRP, OSPF, BGP)

  • Should have good knowledge and experience in complex switching environment.

  • Experience troubleshooting telecommunications equipment and technologies.

  • Should have good knowledge to plan and test software upgrades of routers and switches

  • Should have knowledge on device/module replacements

  • Maintain all assigned tickets with up to date information in our ticketing system.

  • Direct Field Engineers and site services individuals as required to resolve and/or confirm operation of network equipment.

  • Support service quality metrics.
