Job Description -

Finance & Corporate Enablement, at HP Inc. is the innovation & process reengineering organization within D&TO and collaborates across Finance, HR, Payroll, Supply Chain Finance, Quote to Cash, IT Architecture & Marketing and Customer Services to design, own and implement System and Process Innovation initiatives to enable positive business outcomes. Objective is to transform and operate all these process at World Class level when it comes to cost structure, quality and compliance.

FinCorp Project and Portfolio Management, is looking for a talented individual to help with that transformation. The Finance Project & Portfolio Management (FPPM) Team provides E2E project management leadership for projects impacting all finance processes. Many of these projects are being sponsored by our various units and finance partner functions, for example Tax.

We are looking for a talented Expert Project Manager to drive these transformation programs.

Unique mastery and recognized authority on relevant subject matter knowledge including technologies, theories, and techniques. Contributes to the development of innovative principles and ideas. Successfully operates in the most complex disciplines, in which the company must operate to be successful. Provides highly innovative solutions. Leads large, cross-division functional teams or projects that affect the organizations long-term goals and objectives. May participate in cross-division, multi-function teams. Provides mentoring and guidance to lower level employees. Acts as a functional manager within area of expertise but does not manage other employees as a primary job function.

Responsibilities:

  • Project Management:

  • Independently leads projects teams to design and implementation of a system solution.

  • Runs major cross-functional projects of one year duration supported by teams of 20 or more members and oversees several workstreams.

  • Routinely exercises independent judgment in developing methods, techniques and criteria for achieving objectives.

  • Develops strategy and sets functional direction for the project team

  • Stakeholder Management: Collaborate and Partners with internal/external stakeholders to deliver the project outcomes for HP

  • Risk Mitigation Planning:

  • Actively identify, plan, execute risk mitigation planning to solves problems independently.

  • Troubleshoots independently, quickly finding the root cause of the most complex issues and resolving them.

  • Communicates Effectively: Articulates complex issues across functions and businesses, collaborating with other individual contributors, sometimes outside of the job-function, to bring about solutions.

  • Pro-Active and Hand On:

  • Uses in-depth knowledge and research to generate and implement innovative new ideas that will be integral in driving successful project for HP

  • Manage, monitor and control budget, resources and timeline.

  • Identifies, implements, and leads process improvement ideas within scope of work.

  • Represents Finance Projects & Portfolio Management Team within assigned initiatives

Education and Experience Required:

  • First level university degree with a focus in finance or computer science; MBA/ master's in finance or equivalent advanced degree strongly preferred.

  • Typically, 8+ years of Project Management experience, managing large & complex cross divisional projects.

  • CSM, SAFe Agile and/or PMP certification is an additional success factor

  • SAP-FI/ SAP consulting experience is beneficial

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Project management expert with well-developed core skills for running large, highly complex projects, in a matrix organization.

  • Strong Stakeholder Management skills with ability to deal with ambiguity, , managing conflicts, executive story-telling and influencing leadership decisions

  • Expert and in-depth understanding of financial systems and processes in several areas within finance process lifecycle.

  • Superior oral and written communication skills for interacting with senior stakeholders and management.

  • Excellent presentation skills.

  • Expert analytical skills and the ability to synthesize change quickly using advanced subject and process knowledge.

  • Experience managing Global, Diverse & Virtual team with an ability to effectively collaborate and mentor young team members.

  • Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize.
