Roles & Responsibilities:

Process Quick Look Assessment study (PQLA):

Expectations

a) Chemical engineer with experience of working for Exploration and Production (E&P) assets. He / She must has worked with process of Onshore / Offshore / LNG / Gas treatment facilities.

b) Engineer shall be competent to perform System level studies. Examples of systems are - Separation, Gas Processing, Gas compression, Flare Systems (HP, LP), Vent Systems (HP, LP) etc.

c) Engineer shall collect documentation (flow diagram, P&ID, datasheets) and data for identified Assets in the areas of Energy Use, Venting, and Flaring. Analyze the values and quantify GHG, fill appropriate templates and provide technical recommendations for GHG reduction.

d) Engineer shall be competent to provide recommendations on GHG reduction and support to conduct PQLA workshops. The individuals shall operate with minimal supervision and will be an extension of Customer CFR program.

e) Working knowledge of PI modules viz. PI Processbook, PI Vision, PI data extraction is preferred.

f) Engineer will be focal for all technical exchanges and manage technical Interface seamlessly.

Process Simulation:

Expectations

a) Engineer shall perform Process Simulations and develop Heat & Mass Balance as required.

b) Expertise in developing PFDs, PSFDs, P&IDs, C&EDs, Safe charts.

c) Proven skills in routine process calculations [Blowdown/Depressurization(MDMT) studies, Heat dissipation study, Thermal design of Heat exchanger, Compressor/Pipeline surge analysis, Line & Equipment sizing]

Domain Knowledge

  1. Knowledge of Onshore / Offshore / LNG / Gas treatment Processes.

  2. Systems experience - Separation, Gas Processing, Gas compression, Flare Systems (HP, LP), Vent Systems (HP, LP)

Soft Skills / Personality Traits

  1. Good Communication skills - Makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens effectively; clarifies information as needed.

  2. Ability to handle discussions / communications independently

  3. Works in a Collaborative environment
