Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Mechanical design and detailing of pressure vessels, heat exchangers, tanks, piping, pipe supports, pipe support structures.

  • To carry out piping stress analysis of critical piping system as per AMSE B 31.3, B 31.1 , ISO 14692, UKOOA Codes.

  • Preparation of Plant, equipment and piping layouts, equipment and piping system support structures, isometrics & Bill Of Materials.

  • Review and approval of fabrication drawings, Quality Assurance Plans and coordinate with SQE's during fabrication of equipment, piping systems and support structures.

  • Work with Drafting/Design team to develop plant, equipment and piping system 3D models, fabrication and erecting drawings.

  • Able to generate the ideas in simplifying equipment & systems

  • Well documentation of design and detailing works.

  • Mentor technical efforts within the team and be responsible for technical excellence, quality, reviews, and consistency of methods and on-time delivery of analysis, design & detailing with quality.

  • Seamless interface with cross functional and purchased service team and global team towards successful completion of projects.

Tools expertise

  • Knowledge of PV Elite, AutoPIPE, CAESAR II are essential. Knowledge of STAAD Pro, ANSYS would be an added advantage.

  • Experience with 3D plant modeling softwares like AutoPlant, SP3D, Bentley PlantSpace, TEKLA , other PDS or PDMS Softwares.

  • Hands on experience in carrying out piping stress analysis (Static & Dynamic) of critical piping systems including pipe support definition, detailing and qualification.

  • Experienced with applicable National / International codes (UBC, IBC, UKOOA, ISO, ASCE, AISC, ACI, ASME, ASTM, EURO,CSA , AS, Indian Standards)

  • She/he should have the skills to work with diverse team of people, be innovative and adapt quickly to new and upcoming technologies.

  • Familiarity in hands on design and analysis of GRP Vessels & Piping system, PP, PVC and PE piping system.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering / Chemical Engineering with sound knowledge of Petrochemical / Refinery / Power plant system design and detailing.

  • Minimum 10 - 15 years of experience in analysis, design and detailing of Pressure vessels, heat exchangers, tanks, piping system, pipe supports, and pipe support structures. Steel & RC structures, preparation / review of detailed fabrication drawings, QAP's, layouts, vendor document review cum interactions in Petrochemical, fertilizers & power plants.

  • Excellent written and oral communication

  • Exceptional organizational and record keeping skills

  • Hands on experience in engineering & analysis in large MNC's and Engineering Consultants.

  • Possess excellent analytical, problem solving, organizational, interpersonal, and motivational skills with the ability to move cleanly from theoretical to implementation thinking.

  • Unfailing dedication to deadlines and commitments.
