Job Description

• Support the In-Service Operations of fleets of various Large, Medium and Small Gas Turbine Aero engines.

• Support engine overhaul by providing solutions to salvage engine components.

• Working in a significantly challenging work environment.

Typical Activities expected to be performed by Repair Engineers:

• Technical Publication such as Aircraft Maintenance Manual [AMM] / Engine Shop Manual ESM / Service Bulletin [SB] creation and revision.

• In-Service Issue Analysis (Operational / Maintenance).

• Failure/ Non-conformance Investigation.

• Life Cycle Analysis.

• Optimization of maintenance activities.

• Technical Report writing.

• Data analysis and computation.

Essential Skills:

A proactive, energetic individual with:

• In-depth knowledge of gas turbine aero engines, engine components and their function during engine operation. Good understanding of system / component overhaul and maintenance techniques.

• In-depth understanding of gas turbine fundamentals.

• In-depth knowledge on part drawing reading and GD&T concepts.

• In-depth knowledge on working of various engine systems e.g., oil, fuel, air, bleed etc.

• Knowledge on purpose and functioning of different LRUs in engine operation.

• Knowledge of various inspection methods including Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) techniques.

• Knowledge of various types of repairs which can be applied to components.

• Knowledge of various manufacturing techniques and their application during component repair.

• Knowledge in engine assembly / disassembly and build shop.

• Understanding of various delivery excellence and quality control systems.

• Experience in Aero engine tech-pub is preferred.

• Good technical writing skills in English, ability to read and interpret Technical Specifications, other engineering data related to components and system maintenance.

• Good knowledge on Aerospace publication standards ATA100 and S1000D.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelors in Mechanical / Aeronautical Engineering specialization with strong academic track record.

Minimum of 3+ years of experience in Aviation Engines / Turbomachinery / Aircraft product and Customer support Engineering, Design or Repair activities.

  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization both internally and externally

  • Required tools:

• Knowledge in engine 3D visualization and cloud-based software’s is an added advantage.

• Knowledge and experience in Illustration tools such as Tech Illustrator, Iso-draw, and similar tools).
