Roles & Responsibility:

  • The MRB engineer evaluates areas of non-conformance regarding defects arising during the manufacturing and Assembly process and as compared to the product definition requirements.

  • Their role is to evaluate and provide a course of action regarding the disposition of the part. Which includes exercising the options of use “as-is” with no corrective action, reworked to a condition that is acceptable for use, repaired / scrapped / Return To Vendor

  • Perform engineering analysis of discrepant parts which includes Forgings /Castings/ Precision machines components and Assemblies, etc.

  • Responsible for investigation of all non-conformance reports and all responses using proven problem-solving methodology to complete the non-conformance design assessment and disposition.

  • Represent the design team in CFT meetings on the non-conformance assessment and disposition.

  • Analyze variations to engineering drawing specifications which may affect part fit, form, and function. This analysis will include performing tolerance stack up analysis, stress analysis, metallurgical issues, NDT, and heat transfer analysis etc.

  • Author and maintain Technical Analysis Reports associated with the disposition of discrepant parts.

  • Leads root cause corrective actions, develops KPI’s and reporting of status for performance metrics of MRB processing.

  • Capture and document root cause analysis for verified discrepancies.

  • Work with suppliers to identify and implement rework and manufacturing process changes.

  • Execution within multiple services & Cross-functional teams

  • Develop work instructions to ensure repeatability.

  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by Project Manager.

  • Presentations and customer report generation and delivery.

Required Skills (Technical competency)

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Mechanical, or Aerospace Engineering.

  • Minimum of Five (5) years of relatable design and manufacturing experience required.

  • Able to work in a fast-paced, learning environment to meet quick TAT.

  • Experience working with Operations/Process documents, procedures, and records required.

  • Ability to read-interpret CAD based tooling, component, assembly drawings required.

  • Understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T), and Statistical Process Control required.

  • Expert level proficiency in high-end manufacturing equipment and processes (i.e., castings, metal cutting, turning, coatings, milling, EDM, welding, sheet metal/composite forming and joining, metal tube bending, castings, metal cutting, turning, coatings, milling, EDM, welding).

  • Knowledge of manufacturing support processes and systems (i.e., inspection, gauging, data collection, records & reporting, first article approvals).

  • Experience with customer/supplier interaction preferred.

  • Proficiency of the MS Office Suite with good writing skills.

Desired Skills:

  • Diploma / Graduate in Mechanical/Industrial Engineering

  • Minimum hands-on experience in Manufacturing Engineering 5- 8 years

  • Should have background on Quality Management Systems

  • Green Belt certification in any Quality initiative would be added advantage.

  • Knowledge on MS office, UG NX, Teamcenter, CAPP & planning & simulations
