Roles & Responsibilities:

A Steam Turbine / Centrifugal Compressor / Turbo-Expanders Auxiliary Mechanical expert - Design will be responsible for the Conceptual & detail design for Skid mechanical packaging design for Steam Turbine / Centrifugal Compressor / Turbo-Expanders. He/ She will have the opportunity to introduce new technology to enhance company profitability and productivity. He/ She will be responsible for maintaining and incorporating new cost-effective solutions for designs. He/ She should be expert and responsible for designing of all/ some of the following;

  • Plot plan dwg, turboprop general arrangement, machinery foundation, expander skid g/a & foundation loads, machinery main purchaser mechanical connection drawing

  • General arrangement for gland condenser, sealing gas panel skid, skid piping, interconnecting piping layout, seals steam piping, piping and auxiliaries supports, piping full supply

  • Common baseplate, common baseplate with oil tank, baseplate for transportation, baseplate with oil tank and interconnecting piping,

  • Expander packaged full supply, jacking oil console - full supply, control oil console full supply, gland condenser full supply, lube oil console full supply,

  • Outline for mineral lube oil console, gear enclosure

  • Lube oil system data sheet (api614), lube oil system design summary, piping lines specifications, L.V. motor data sheet, main skid weighting specification, painting specification, shell & tube cooler supply spec, Oil flushing spec, jacking oil system specification, plant manual valves

  • Off & on base enclosure outline, ladders & walkways assembly dwg, gear acoustic enclosure

  • Inlet temporary strainer, lube oil accumulator, main skid lifting sketch, lifting tool, insulating blanket for machines

  • Ped thickness & pressure test verification, pressure equipment part list, piping stress calculation, baseplate calculation report

  • Warning labels layout, lubricant list, piping insulation, condensing plant foundation bolts, barring gear pump, jacking oil pump

  • Run down tank general arrangement & construction drawing

  • Locking assembly for Generator, Expander, Compressor, Steam Turbine front and rear pedestal

  • Perform Technical Reviews. Review process- 30%-60%-90%. Handhold, guide & mentor the team to improve technical competency of the team

  • Drive Knowledge Management, Continuous improvement & Productivity improvement initiatives.

Required Skills (Technical Competency):

  • 4-10 years of Experience in Steam Turbine / Centrifugal Compressor / Turbo-Expanders – Designing in oil and gas/petrochemical/power sector.

  • Should be able to read P&IDs , Customer Specification

  • Should be able to provide support on preparation of Equipment Specification / Datasheets, Purchase Specification

  • Tools skill: Siemens NX10, AutoCAD & Team Center

  • Should be able to prepare Project Scheduling, monitoring, and control, and maintain OTD and Quality of the Engineering documents, timely execution.

Desired Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.

  • Experience in an engineering position for Auxiliary System Engineering - Mechanical for Turbomachinery’s Steam Turbine / Centrifugal Compressor / Turbo-Expanders in oil and gas/power sector.
