Overview
Outpatient Spina Bifida Program - Offering $10,000 sign-on bonus.
We are interviewing Social Workers (LMSW), to work with pediatric and adult patients and families in our Spina Bifida Program. Patients receive initial evaluations and follow-up services from collaborating professionals. Social workers focus on psychosocial aspects of treatment of the whole patient. Social work services include assessment and interventions, coordination of care, resource finding and linkage, supporting the patient and family in understanding and adjusting to team recommendations and providing risk assessments/safety plans to patients that screen positive on a suicide screening. Patients and families seen in medical clinics may also be referred for counseling and mental health services.

We offer continuing education and in house training in evidence-based/informed therapies and multi-disciplinary learning experiences. We encourage our clinicians to pursue interests in mentoring trainees, providing outreach, and engaging in multi-disciplinary research and special projects.
Qualifications
Must possess and maintain Master Social Worker (LMSW) license, issued by the Maryland State Department of Health and Mental Hygiene Board of Social Work Examiners.
EDUCATION:
Master's degree from an accredited school of Social Work is required.
EXPERIENCE:
Clinical experience through internships or job placements in the provision Social Work services required, preferably for children, adolescents and young adults with developmental, learning and/or emotional disabilities.
