Leidos is seeking a Senior Automation Tester to be part of the mission solution and help lead SSA’s Digital Modernization Strategy.   • Candidate's primary responsibility will be to support advanced Test Automation working with Java, Selenium, Behavior Driven Development (BDD) Cucumber framework in Java/Agile. environment.

  • Provide hands on expertise using the latest open-source products and best practices.

  • Specifically, the successful candidate will be a member of an Agile Team working with other Agile teams, System Architects, Test Architects, Developers, Database Engineers, DevOps, Implementation team, IT Infrastructure & Operations Team, and External System Owners to perform test automation for applications using open-source technologies and products.

  • All other duties as assigned or directed.

FOUNDATION FOR SUCCESS ( Basic Qualifications )

  • Master’s degree and 6+ years of experience in a related field or bachelor’s degree and 8+ years of experience in a related field or 11 years in lieu of a degree. Experience may be substituted in lieu of degree.

  • Proficient in using Selenium tool for web application and automating regression test cases (Selenium WebDriver).

  • Comprehensive knowledge of Scrum and Kanban Agile development process and ceremonies including scrums, planning events, backlog grooming, retrospectives, and demos.

  • Strong communication and collaborative skills in providing technical direction and hands-on software development to include design, development, and testing.

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust. Contract requirement.

* Selected candidate must reside within two (2) hours of SSA Headquarters in Woodlawn, MD

Selected candidate must be willing to work on-site at least 2 days a week.*

FACTORS TO HELP YOU SHINE ( Required Skills )

These skills will help you succeed in this position:

  • Experience developing test scripts to implement Features, Test Scenarios and Step-Definition for BDD (Behavior Driven Development) using Cucumber (Gherkins format) and using customized test automation framework.

  • Experience developing Selenium automation framework using HP ALM, Junit/TestNG frameworks and developing Maven targets to execute automation suites.

  • Experience with JAVA, JavaScript-based technologies, such as nodejs, angular.js etc.

HOW TO STAND OUT FROM THE CROWD (Desired Skills)

Showcase your knowledge of modern development through the following experience or skills:

  • Experience with Jenkins Auto jobs, Stash / Bitbucket.

  • Experience in configuring execution of automated regressions suite using Jenkins CI\CD pipeline.

  • Experience maintaining resources in configuration management tools, such as GitHub/SVN repository.

  • Experience with Version One management tool.

  • Strong communication and technical writing skills.

  • Experience debugging Automation test results.

Pay Range:

Pay Range $87,100.00 - $157,450.00
