Johns Hopkins University Research Program Coordinator in Baltimore, Maryland

We are seeking a Research Program Coordinator who will be responsible for overall management of the research activities overseen by Professor Jonathan Plucker. The candidate will provide administrative support to include coordination with project partners, assistance with oversight of numerous, large-scale projects, and dissemination activities.

Specific Duties & Responsibilities

  • Oversee the administrative and scientific implementation of research protocol for complex and/or multiple research studies. As part of study team, collaborate with faculty, develop protocol, develop SOP, and oversee study-related activities for multiple studies.

  • Participate in development, testing and evaluation of manuals, questionnaires, and coding structures, for the efficient collection of data.

  • Participate as a member of collaborative group study team in study design and analysis of data. Involved in discussions of next steps.

  • Analyze data and contribute to writing draft or sections of manuscripts.

  • Present data at meetings.

Job Duties Specific to the Project Team

  • External Relations and Outreach-Participate in forums, working groups and conferences to stay abreast of developments in the field, and expand networks.

  • Knowledge Management: Remain informed about international educational and school reform issues and share information and research within the larger team and partners more broadly.

  • Assists with IRB approval process.

  • Plan and actively participate in Program Research Management meetings.

  • Work with Prof. Plucker, his team, and project stakeholders, to optimize the practical implementation of research projects.

  • Manage the process of budget generation and financial management of the program in collaboration with the PI.

  • Work with offices within the School of Education to ensure research projects are billed accurately.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in related discipline.

  • Additional related experience may substitute for required education, to the extent permitted by the JHU equivalency formula.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Excellent organizational skills.

  • Excellent attention to detail skills.

  • Excellent communication skills.

  • Some related experience.

  • Ability to travel to project sites, primarily located in Mid-Atlantic area, but possibly in other regions of the country.

Starting Salary Range: $17.00 - $30.00 HRLY ($63,000 targeted; Commensurate with experience)
