Johns Hopkins University Research Assistant in Baltimore, Maryland

Working under the direction of Dr. Virginia Hahn, we are seeking a Research Assistant for a clinical research study to assist with patient enrollment, administrative coordination, data management, sample collection and data analysis. The Research Assistant will oversee day-to-day data collection in support of the PI, writing and running reports and analyzing data. Data is derived from medical records, patient interviews, research, and patient-administered questionnaires and includes quantitative, qualitative, psychometric, and imaging data. The Research Assistant will work in collaboration with faculty and staff to perform data collection, entry, and auditing and assist in developing data collection and management protocols for studies. The Research Assistant will perform data analysis in R and Python and participate in preparation of abstracts and manuscripts.

Specific Duties & Responsibilities

  • Run routine reports for PI based on data collected for research studies.

  • Perform data cleaning measures to ensure data accuracy.

  • Assist with tracking progress of study.

  • Assist with data acquisition and analysis.

  • Assist with preparation of abstract, manuscript, and national conference presentations.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in related discipline.

  • Proficiency in MS Word/Excel required.

  • Proficiency in Python and R programming required.

  • Additional related experience may substitute for required education, to the extent permitted by the JHU equivalency formula.

Preferred Qualifications

  • A minimum of one-year related data analysis experience.

Starting Salary Range: $17.00 - $30.00 HRLY ($48,880 targeted; Commensurate with experience)
