OVERVIEW

The Production Attendant is responsible for operating high speed packaging equipment in an industrial food facility. Tasks include routine maintenance, infield adjustments, loading bags, coding, and changing paper.

DETAILED ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Operates high speed packaging equipment in a safe manner to meet production standards

  • Makes adjustments to equipment in order to obtain quality of product and maximum production

  • Cleans equipment as required to assure continuous operation

  • Maintains a clean work area to ensure compliance with food safety guidelines

  • Completes reports at regular intervals throughout the shift

  • Performs food quality checks throughout the shift

  • Assist other packaging lines when necessary

WORK EXPERIENCES

  • At least 1 year experience working in an industrial setting preferred

  • Previous machine operator experience preferred

  • Must be 18 or older

  • Must be willing to work nights, weekends, rotating shifts, holidays and overtime as needed

  • Must be able to work in safe manner

  • Must be able to be certified to operate a forklift and other mobile industrial equipment

  • Must be able to stand and walk constantly, bend, and stoop occasionally

  • Must be able to lift up to 50lbs frequently

  • Must be able to reach and use arms in a repetitive motion frequently

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

  • High School Diploma or GED is required
