Maryland Treatment Centers, Inc. Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant- Research in Baltimore, Maryland

Nurse practitioners (NP) or physician assistants (PA) for addiction research and treatment program Maryland Treatment Centers / Mountain Manor is seeking a full time NP or PA to join our team. Primary duties include providing clinical services within a portfolio of existing research projects. The projects include cutting-edge randomized clinical trials for opioid use disorder and cocaine use disorder in collaboration with local and national research centers. This position is based in Baltimore, Maryland, but would also include regular travel across several locations including to some county detention centers (all within Maryland). Position Responsibilities · Participate as a member of an interdisciplinary clinical research team to study addiction related medications in criminal justice and other high-risk populations · Evaluate patients/participants, prescribe medications · Administer injectable medications to patients/participants · Coordinate logistics of patient/participant medical appointments with research team personnel · Oversee storage and accountability and of study medications and patient/participant medical charts · May involve supervising related LPN position Requirements · MD licensure · Be comfortable with criminal justice populations and in criminal justice settings · Willing to drive to various study locations · Some schedule flexibility preferred
