Clean Harbors Facility Maintenance Technician in Baltimore, Maryland

Clean Harbors located in Baltimore, MD is looking to add a Facility Maintenance Technician to join the team. The Facility Maintenance Technician will be responsible for performing hands on maintenance related activities that are needed to keep the plant maintained from rebuilding pumps, working on piping, insulation, pneumatics as well as preventative maintenance tasks.

Shift: Monday-Friday 7am-3pm. OT and Saturdays as needed

Responsibilities:

  • Ensures Health and Safety is the number one goal by following policies, processes, and acting in a safe manner at all times;

  • Perform maintenance activities including, but not limited to, Pump rebuilds, Preventative Maintenance, Basic installations of pipe, and electrical work;

  • Perform basic repairs and up-keep in the Welding, Electrical, Pipe fitting, and Mechanical disciplines;

  • Acts as an assistant to higher-level maintenance personnel on large, more complex maintenance activities;

  • Operates a forklift if required and trained;

  • Ensures work meets all applicable Health and Safety Standard Operating Procedures;

  • Ensures that work meets compliance standards within the facility operation;

  • Responsible for maintaining a clean work environment;

  • Reviews all applicable SOPs, annually, and scores a satisfactory score on SOP quizzes;

  • Responsibility for supply management in their area of responsibility, including proper housekeeping and best management practices;

  • Responsible for adherence to all applicable CHES policies and CHES SOPs;

  • Performs job functions in compliance with the company standard; Clean Compliance;

  • Performs other duties and tasks as assigned from time to time by management and will be required by the needs of the Clean Harbors business.

What does it take to work for Clean Harbors?

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required;

  • Ability to work in a team environment;

  • Basic proficiencies in electrical, pipe fitting, mechanical, and/or welding preferred;

  • Previous experience in preventative maintenance or basic installations at a facility preferred;

  • Background in industrial maintenance setting highly preferred.
