COMPANY OVERVIEW:

Beltway Companies is currently seeking a skilled Diesel Technician with a minimum of 1 year of experience to join our team. We are the largest commercial truck dealership in the state of Maryland committed to providing first class services to our clients, employees, and communities. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical knowledge and hands-on experience in diesel engine diagnostics, maintenance, and repair.

POSITION OVERVIEW:

As a Diesel Technician at Beltway Companies, you will be responsible for the inspection, diagnosis, and repair of diesel engines and related systems. Your expertise will contribute to the efficiency and reliability of our clients fleets of diesel-powered vehicles and equipment.

  • Diagnose and troubleshoot diesel engine malfunctions and perform necessary repairs.

  • Conduct routine maintenance tasks, including oil changes, filter replacements, and fluid checks.

  • Utilize diagnostic tools and equipment to identify and address electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical issues.

  • Perform inspections to ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards.

  • Collaborate with other technicians and departments to coordinate repairs and maintenance schedules.

  • Maintain accurate records of repairs, services, and inventory of parts.

  • Stay updated on industry trends, technology advancements, and new repair techniques.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year of practical experience as a Diesel Technician

  • Strong knowledge of diesel engine systems, electrical components, and hydraulic systems

  • Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment

  • Ability to interpret technical manuals and schematics

  • Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving skills

  • Effective communication and teamwork abilities

  • Physical capability to lift heavy equipment

  • Valid driver's license and/or reliable means of transportation

    SKILL, TRAINING, AND EDUCATION:

  • High school degree or additional certification/training in diesel technology is a plus

  • 1 or more years of related experience

  • Mechanical knowledge of diesel powered vehicles

SCHEDULE:

  • Full-time

  • 8-hour shift

  • Day shift

  • Monday to Friday
