Robert Half International Credit & Collections Manager in BALTIMORE, Maryland


Robert Half's Accounting Operation Division is looking for a high calibre Credit & Collections Manager in Baltimore, MD.


The Credit & Collections Manager will oversee a total team of 4 Credit & Collection Specialists while being responsible for providing best-in class service to internal and external customers, effectively managing maximum cash collection and reducing bad debt and risk.


  • Lead and manage a Credit & Collections team of 4 to include providing full oversight of all credit and cash management activities for the North America region.

  • Develop a high-performing team to include training, coaching, and monitoring all performance related activities to ensure department KPI's and company goals are achieved.

  • Ensure the team is following proper credit processes and protocols when conducting credit checks, analyzing credit history, and determining credit lines.

  • Ensure the team is following proper collections process and protocols when analyzing customer accounts, aging reports, payment history, payment terms, and payment negotiations.

  • Ensure all purchase orders are obtained and submitted in the client payment portal for processing.

  • Ensure all account discrepancies, issues, or inquiries are researched, resolved, and followed up on in a timely manner.

  • Develop strategic plans to minimize overdue debt/write off's and maximize cash collections.

  • Manage the write off process with the SVP Finance of each business.

  • Identify areas for improvement and implement more efficient and streamlined processes.

  • Maintain clean ledgers in order successfully prepare bad debt and risk reports to review, analyze, and strategize during financial meetings with senior leaders.

  • Partner closely with the Integration Project Team to capture functions requirements for SAP integration.

  • Ensure the team is performing a high level of data integrity and confidentiality.

  • Additional tasks and projects as assigned.


  • 5+ years of strategic and high-volume experience within commercial credit, collections, and risk management.

  • Strong leadership skills with the proven ability to identify areas of improvement and implement new processes.

  • Possesses a strategic and hands-on approach to drive solutions, deliver key results, and motivate teams.

  • Strong technical skills and Excel proficiency; SAP software experience is highly preferred.

  • System implementation experience and experience working on transformation projects is highly desired.

  • Analytical mindset with the ability to analyze reports to assess risk and strategize best practices.

  • Adaptable with the ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast paced, high-volume environment.

  • Strong communications skills able to effectively and confidently engage with the senior staff and executives.

  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritize competing tasks to meet tight deadlines and company metrics.

  • Confident, self-motivated, and energetic with a strong appetite for change.

  • Possesses a strong sense of professionalism and business acumen.

  • Proactive and resourceful problem solver with a strong drive for results.

  • Strong attention to detail, level of accuracy, and organizational skills.
