This candidate will engage with customers to comprehend user business processes and collect the functional requirements essential for configuring and tailoring their new Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS). They will document system processes and procedures based on customers' requirements and functionality needs. Whether working independently or collaboratively with other members of the Professional Services team, the candidate will analyze and address technical project issues related to functional and design requirements. responsibilities:

  • Gather, develop, and document functional business requirements for customer projects by translating user needs into system architecture and functionality.

  • Collaborate with Designers and, if necessary, Solution Engineers to ensure the proper transfer of functional requirements and solutions for configuration/development, while reviewing project progress throughout its lifecycle.

  • Interface with Project Management to maintain clear communication on timelines, deliveries, and address project issues and changes.

  • Assist and guide customers in adding master data to the configuration before or during implementation.

  • Act as a consultant on projects, ensuring high-quality system configuration aligned with industry best practices.

  • Serve as a Subject Matter Expert in the domain.

  • Conduct and facilitate customer workshops for information gathering.

  • Prepare functional requirements specifications (FRS) and ensure alignment with consulting days allocated for the project.

  • Act as the primary contact for the customer during implementation, providing day-to-day support.

  • Provide input to the Project Manager regarding any change orders requested by the customer.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree required, with 3-5 years of experience in customer-facing roles in a consulting environment.

  • 2-3 years of experience in business analysis and/or process re-engineering.

  • strong technical documentation and organizational skills are essential.

  • Ability to facilitate customer workshops and elicit requirements effectively.

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

  • Experience working with a geographically distributed team, including different countries and time zones, is a plus.
