Join our Baltimore-Washington Team: Division Manager – Building Envelope Division

We are currently seeking a Division Manager to provide leadership and vision to our Building Envelope Division of our Baltimore/Washington Operations Team located in Elkridge, MD. As a Division Manager, you will provide operational leadership to all aspects of the division and make key decisions related to safety, profitability, business development, operations, resource management, staffing needs, growth, teamwork, and culture for the operations.

Candidates for this position should have experience in and a passion for Building Envelope and Vertical Access work. They should possess strong leadership skills to maintain the highest of standards on building envelope projects. Additionally, candidates must be adept at managing the financial aspects of business or division, negotiating contracts, and providing guidance to project teams. A commitment to mentoring and managing project teams is also essential.

For consideration in this strategic leadership position with our Baltimore/Washington operations team, candidates should meet the following criteria:

  • Experience: A minimum of 15 years in construction management, including managing a division or multiple projects as a project manager. At least 10 of those years should involve managing people.

  • Financial Acumen: Previous responsibility for profit and loss (P&L) management.

  • Contract Expertise: Demonstrated knowledge of construction contracts, claims management, and dispute resolution.

  • Leadership Skills: Proven success in managing, leading, and coaching project teams.

  • Building Envelope Experience: Previous track record working on building envelope projects.

  • Client Negotiation: Experience negotiating contracts directly with clients.

  • Vision and Goal Setting: Ability to provide a vision and long-term goals.

  • Safety Commitment: Demonstrated commitment to safety practices.

  • Education: Candidates with a Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field may receive preference.

Periodic travel is required with this position.
