Saratoga Bridges Staff Trainer (ID/DD) in Ballston Spa, New York

Have you worked with people who have a developmental disability (within OPWDD services)? Do you have experience teaching or mentoring co-workers, to work in the field of supporting people with developmental disabilities? Are you a direct support professional looking to advance to a training position? Our Staff Development Specialist position may be a good fit for you.There is a variety of in-service training courses the person in this position will learn to teach. Some training requires completion of train-the-trainer session/s to become a certified trainer. Training will be conducted both onsite and at other Saratoga Bridges worksites at various times, including on occasion evenings and weekends. Generally, this position works Monday - Friday 8am to 4:30pm.Strong computer skills are a must for this position. You will use PowerPoint and Word to develop and maintain the curriculums for all agency training. You will document training in Therap and Relias.This position requires a bachelor’s degree or at least four years' experience teaching/mentoring staff working with people with developmental disabilities.We have excellent benefits including paid time off.
