Job Description: Licensed Security GuardPosition Overview:Corporate Hiring Solutions is seeking licensed Security Guards to provide comprehensive security services for a seasonal parking program operated by the City of Saratoga Springs Department of Public Works. Security Guards will be responsible for maintaining the safety and security of City-owned garages and surface lots, ensuring the protection of assets and the well-being of patrons throughout the duration of the program from Memorial Day to Labor Day.Location:City-owned garages and surface lots in Saratoga Springs, New York.Responsibilities:Conduct regular patrols and surveillance of parking garages and surface lots to deter theft, vandalism, and unauthorized access.Enforce parking regulations and policies to maintain order and ensure compliance with City ordinances.Respond promptly to security incidents, emergencies, and alarms, taking appropriate action to mitigate risks and resolve situations.Assist patrons with parking-related inquiries, providing courteous and helpful customer service at all times.Monitor pay stations and parking equipment for functionality, troubleshooting issues as required and reporting maintenance needs to the Department of Public Works.Prepare and submit daily reports to document security activities, incidents, and observations within the parking facilities.Collaborate with local law enforcement agencies and emergency responders as needed to address security concerns and maintain public safety.Requirements:Valid New York State Security Guard license.Previous experience in security-related roles is preferred.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure.Proficiency in handling security equipment such as radios, surveillance cameras, and access control systems.Availability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred.Hourly Rate:The hourly rate for this position ranges from $25 to $28.
