Are you ready to be at the forefront of shaping the digital revolution in high voltage substations? As a Protection Engineer your expertise will be instrumental in ensuring the safety and reliability of our digital solutions in both Onshore and Offshore substations.

Your role

As a Protection Engineer you will support our customers in all kinds of protection applications. You must be able to understand complex technical problems and translate it into simple, yet reliable and elegant solutions to ensure high availability and of course think as much possible security in all technical aspects possible starting from the smallest 10/04 kV kiosk to the very complex high voltage substations at op to 400kV.

Your Impact:

Design & Implementation: Craft robust protection systems from the ground up, ensuring seamless integration and functionality.

Problem Solving: Tackle complex technical challenges with finesse, delivering reliable and elegant solutions for optimal performance.

Project Coordination: Collaborate with Project Management to steer protection systems through every project phase.

Security Focus: Infuse security into every aspect of your work, safeguarding our systems against potential threats.

Your Qualifications:

Educational Background: Hold a degree in Electrical Power Engineering or a related field.

Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with IEC 61850 MMS & GOOSE communication protocol, overcurrent protection, line protection, and transformer protection etc.

Software Skills: Experience with DIGSI 5, DIGSI 4, and Test Universe from OMICRON is advantageous.

Analytical & Communication Skills: Strong analytical abilities paired with effective communication skills in English. You understand the importance of stakeholder involvement and are able to accomplish win/win solutions through teamwork.

Hands-On Mentality: Embrace hands-on work, including on-site configuration and testing.

Driver's License: Possess a driver's license for travel requirements (Category B).
