Northern Metal Fab, Inc. Welder Fitter/Level A Welder in Baldwin, Wisconsin

We're looking for experienced welders to join our growing team. Here at NMF we've enhanced our pay scale to attract the best talent, by having a progressive pay-for-skills program, a hire-on bonus, and a 71/2% shift differential for our 2nd shift employees.

The Welder A position is NMF's "Welder/Fitter" level in our welding career path. Utilizes various machines and a number of processes to weld carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminum weldments as directed by routing instructions and blueprints.

Common tasks and Responsibilities

• Works safely, following all procedures and utilizes proper safety equipment

• Weld and/or fits assemblies for MIG and TIG welding process

• Responsible for tools and equipment in his/her work area

• Responsible for recording time on the job he/she is working on. Inputting other data as required into computer programs or systems.

• Maintains a clean and organized work area

• Must have all necessary tools and equipment. (see attached)

• Performs miscellaneous tasks as assigned by supervisor

Physical Demands

The physical demands listed represent those that must be met to successfully perform the essential functions of this job, with reasonable accommodations.

• Lift/Carry up to 70-100#. 1-10# constantly; 21-50# frequently; & 50-100# occasionally.

• In an 8 hour shift an employee can be expected to stand approximately 6 hours, walk approximately 1 hour and occasionally sit 1 hour.

• Occasionally climbing, balancing, kneeling, crouching, and crawling.

• Frequently stooping and push/pull.

• Constantly reaching, handling, fingering and feeling.

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the majority of the employee’s work area is indoors. The employee will be regularly exposed to weld smoke/fumes and moderate noise levels, with occasional high noise levels.
