Duties

We are looking for a Paralegal to join our team.

Job Summary:

• Draft routine or complex legal documents for review by attorneys.

• Review, organize, and summarize depositions, pleadings, and reports.

• Draft responses to written discovery, responses to subpoenas, correspondence, other legal documents.

• Provide support in case management of pending litigation

• Manage calendars, schedules, and deadlines effectively.

• Maintain and update case files, ensuring all relevant information is accurately recorded.

• Ensure compliance with legal regulations and industry standards including but not limited to assisting with litigation holds.

• Uses basic understanding of medical terminology, records, typical injuries, and treatment to assist with medical records collection and review of medical records in assigned files

• Reviews medical records and prepares summaries requiring basic understanding of typical injuries

• Uses basic legal writing and research skills and knowledge of proper format and citations.

• Assist with legal bill review

Qualifications

Qualifications:

• Must have 5+ years of experience.

• Must possess a degree or certification in paralegal studies from an accredited institution.

• Proficiency in using Adobe Acrobat and Microsoft Excel is essential.

• Familiarity with LexisNexis for legal research.

• 3+ years of personal injury experience required.

• Experience in medical record review is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience as a civil litigation paralegal preferred.

• Insurance defense background preferred.

Education:

• Certification in paralegal studies strongly preferred or developed paralegal experience.
