System One is actively seeking anFacilities Technicianfor a contract position located in Bakersfield, CA.

Facilities Technician Responsibilities:

  • Performs routine building maintenance and repairs on facility equipment and property structures.

  • Assists in a wide variety of maintenance activities; addresses immediate operational and/or safety concerns; and ensures that tools, materials and vehicles are maintained in good working order.

  • Performs activities under direct supervision.

  • Maintains safe work habits and actions in all aspects of the daily task; evaluates reactive work for safety issues, plans projects so that safety is key, and reviews preventative work for any unforeseen items that may present safety hurdles.

  • Performs work in a wide variety of conditions, such as extreme heat, cold, and moisture.

  • Maintains housekeeping and safety in work areas; Up keep on exterior yard, including pit and sump clean/repair.

  • Conducts minor repairs including plumbing in restrooms along with dock drain; spill pickup; and replacing light bulbs

  • Operates and maintains vehicle equipment such as fork truck,

  • Pre operation checklist to make sure everything is working no maintenance or repair on the forklift

  • Uses powered hand tools drills, grinders, porta-band, etc.) based on job need

  • Daily visual report - looking for leaks and damage and turning into management for service

    Facilities Technician Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED

  • M-F, 8:00am – 4:30pm

  • Steel toe boots

    Duration: Contract
