KBR Electrician in Baghdad, Iraq

This role requires UK SC Clearance, to be eligible for this role you must either already obtain this level of clearance or have a 5 year footprint of living and working in the UK.

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

Qualifications:

Essential:

  • Experience and knowledge of City & Guilds 2391 Inspection and testing

  • Experience and knowledge of UK Electrical Regulations 18th Edition BS 7671

  • Must have completed recognised apprenticeship within an electrical discipline.

  • Previous Electrical experience required

  • Familiar with Low Voltage electrical systems; 50 hz of various voltages

  • Must be fully able to fully converse in the English language. (IELTS Level 4)

  • Capable of working with limited supervision

  • Must be able to demonstrate a good understanding of UK health or safety legislation and an ability to carry out risk assessments and propose actions for risk control/management.

  • Be capable of passing medical/security checks to hold a UK MoD Contractors ID card

Desirable:

  • Working with CCTV installations

  • Experience of installation and commissioning of fire alarm systems

  • Experience in installation of stand alone power generators 500kvA

  • Test and Commissioning / EICR and using NAPIT software

  • Experience of working on operations in austere remote sites or in developing nations

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

  • Working with and mentoring of Company selected sub-contractor on all elements of electrical installation.

  • Responsible for carrying out and completing electrical inspection works.

  • Inspection, installation, fault finding and repair of electrical installations and Fire Alarm systems.

  • Responsible for ensuring compliance with the Health and Safety at Works Act and the KBR Zero Harm HSE policies.

  • Capable of working unsupervised operating within a project management structure.

  • Responsible for ensuring compliance with site safe systems of work.

  • Filling out electrical installation reports, logbooks, quality assurance inspections and all paperwork relating to associated electrical tasks such as risk assessments and method statements.
