Scheurer Primary Care -- Bad Axe, a part of Scheurer Health, is seeking a full time Medical Assistant. 

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Greet and register each patient, verify insurance coverage, and collect co-pays
  • Assist healthcare providers with patient care and treatment
  • Obtain and record patient vital signs and medical history
  • Prepare patients for examinations and procedures
  • Administer medications and injections as directed by healthcare provider
  • Perform basic laboratory tests and procedures
  • Assist with patient education and follow-up care
  • Maintain medical equipment and supplies
  • Ensure patient confidentiality and privacy
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • The candidates will assist with in-store promotions, marketing and various community wellness activities

Job Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Completion of a medical assistant program
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures
  • Experience with electronic medical records
  • Ability to maintain patient confidentiality
