Abbott Rapid Diagnostics is looking for Regional Marketing Manager , Switzerland, Austria and France, based in Baar, Switzerland.

Primary Objectives

This role will be responsible for growth of the Cardiometabolics portfolio in Switzerland, Austria and France. This will be done through a strategic approach to the market, customers and lead generation in cooperation with sales leadership and teams. The job will require the development of key relationships across the spectrum of healthcare stakeholders and other strategic business partners to identify opportunities and drive fulfilment of needs that fit to Abbott technologies and capabilities.

Top responsibilities

  • Responsible to develop and implement multi-country strategy. Understand the local dynamics of the point-of-care market, the customers, the health economic environment including reimbursement and competitor strategies to develop and execute a detailed annual strategic business plan.

  • Work with local opinion leaders, external organizations, non-profits and strategic partners to influence the entire market to fully adopt current and future reimbursement policy, to maximize treatment with Abbott Products.

  • Assess local dynamics to provide forecasts, business reports and information to regional/divisional management as required on a timely basis.

  • Map competitive dynamics and provide a continuous update of local competitor activities to ensure effective product placement and to gain advantage in competition.

  • Planning and achievement of strategic programs for effective market launches and continuation marketing of products supporting to reach sales and profit targets.

  • Manage the congress and event strategy and implement the organization and participation to congresses, workshops and scientific events and propagation of information to colleagues (also new product information of competitors.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in science or business-related field

  • MBA or master's degree in science or business related field is a plus

  • Minimum 5 years related sales and marketing experience.

  • Multinational companies experience

  • Medical device industry and market trends knowledge

  • Business planning and project planning

  • Analytical, creative and operational marketing skills

  • Understanding of diagnostic point of care products and their intended use within the health care system

  • Understanding of market conditions

  • Project management skills

  • Leading through vision and values

  • Ability to interface with key customers and opinion leaders

  • Communication and influencing skills

  • Results and performance driven

  • Creative thinking and change management

  • Fluency in German and English, French preferred
