Ajinomoto Cambrooke Maintenance Supervisor in Ayer, Massachusetts

The Maintenance Supervisor is a hands-on leader responsible for investigating and problem-solving plant reliability issues utilizing PDCA and Best Practice techniques. This position will lead the maintenance teams with activities related to planning and scheduling targeting improved and sustained equipment and facility performance. This role supports Engineering projects and specifically provides guidance and leadership during the project implementation phase of the projects. The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for planning, evaluating, organizing, and implementing assigned installation, maintenance, and repair activities and coordinating with other departments to assure minimum downtime for production and maximum safety. Maintains records of equipment performance and root cause analysis. Leads the implementation and sustainable use of CMMS. Lastly, the role interacts with functional leaders to recure appropriate time and resources to achieve targets. Qualifications BS in Chemical, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering and/or 5+ years? experience in maintenance and equipment reliability management. Experience in research, purchase, logistics and maintenance of equipment and spare parts. Experience in OEE management and equipment productivity improvements. Working knowledge of CMMS systems, procedures, and technical store management. 5+ years? supervisory or team lead experience in maintenance. Advanced Mechanical and Electrical skills. PLC knowledge is a plus. Experience validating aseptic and/or powder manufacturing equipment and processes a plus. Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and familiarity with standard operating procedures (SOPs) Ability to transfer technical knowledge to practical applications and write SOPs as needed. Ability to lead and manage team members maintaining a high level of morale and discipline. Proficient in setting and managing Preventive and Predictive Maintenance processes. Including Asset Inventory, Prioritization, Scheduling, CMMS Software, Communication, Goals and KPIs. Ability to lead and manage all aspects of the maintenance management process, including servicing, calibration, testing, alignment, adjustment, and installation. Excellent verbal and written communication skills High degree of scientific and technical proficiency Ability to record, report and analyze reliable data. Working Conditions / Physical Requirements WORKING CONDITIONS: This position works in a food manufacturing environment and requires the ability to adhere to all GMP, Food Safety, workplace safety, and security policies including wearing required personal protective equipment while meeting GMP standards. Work must be performed in a safe manner for personal protection and for the protection of other team members. All safety procedures, procedures described in SOPs, JHAs, and support of the ISO standards in all functional areas must be followed, enforced, and strictly complied with. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: The position requires the ability to perform repetitive motions, lifting up to 50 pounds and on occasion maneuvering drums in excess of 50 pounds with team assistance.
