Job Title: Quality InspectorCompany Description: D.P. Tool & Machine, Inc. is a technologically advanced family-owned manufacturing company experienced with producing close tolerance CNC precision turned, machined, fabricated/welded components, electro-mechanical assemblies and fixtures servicing major corporations. Job Summary: The Quality Technician is responsible for inspecting parts and aiding the department with various responsibilities.Reports To: Quality ManagerRequirements: AA/AS/AAS, quality certification, apprenticeship or previous work experience that applies to Manufacturing preferred. High School diploma with technical certificate or two years’ experience in manufacturing or machining in a Quality role.Knowledge of GD& T, blueprint reading, statistics, sampling, gauging methods and process control.Proficient in Microsoft Office.Manual and programmable cmm operating abilityAbility to sit, stand or walk for long periods and lift up to 35lbs.Job Responsibilities:Inspect first article parts, in-process and receiving inspection. Complete final inspection.Run approved CMM part programs and operate manual CMM(s) and other inspection instruments.Audit current processes and implement continuous improvement goals.Ensure all gauges and tools are in working order and are currently calibrated.Review job packets for required paperwork and documentation.Assist production in sorting, de-burring, reworking and cleaning parts as needed.Data entry in respect to QA items.Material handling with skid jacks, crane and tow motor.Preferred Skills:CMM set -up and programming using Zeiss Calypso and Pcdmis Experience with Metrology equipment including Vici, Keyence, Fowler Height Stand, Plate inspection and Profolometers.ISO auditing a plus.Goal oriented person with planning and execution skills and a willingness to learn.
