Job Description Summary Oldcastle Infrastructure, Inc. is currently seeking a Quality Control Technician for its Avon Precast Facility. The successful candidate will report to the facility Quality Control Manager and will be responsible for performing the daily QC functions, including routine tests as required on raw materials, in process components and final product.
The position requires the employee to perform a wide range of duties in an industrial indoor and outdoor manufacturing environment included, but not limited to the following: * Performs pre-pour inspection checks as required -- wet cast operations * Performs post-pour inspection checks as required -- wet cast operations * Participate in Corrective Action Reports for nonconforming product * Monitor production operations and reporting of deficiencies as required * Perform material gradation testing as necessary * Perform daily wet tests for concrete production pours * Perform daily compressive strength testing of hardened concrete specimens * Maintain record keeping of quality documents, reports, inspections, etc. * Maintain calibration and maintenance of lab equipment as required * Assist with operation and maintenance of Batching System * Report to management team on process improvements, repetitive mistakes, and quality concerns * Assists other Quality Control personnel as requested * Ensures that all precast products are correctly marked
