TEKsystems Billing Representative in AVON, Connecticut

We are actively seeking an administrative professional to join a team dedicated to helping our members and their families every day. In this role as a Billing Representative, you'll join us on a mission to not only deliver the best customer service in the industry, but the best customer service, Period. Your compassion and expertise combined with our support, training and development will ensure your success.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Our Billing Representatives are an integral part of the team by assisting with the overall operations of the organization's billing department.

  • Billing representatives post payments timely on the database.

  • Update account statements, release invoices, reconcile accounts and resolve account discrepancies.

  • Provide research, analytic and resolution support on special cases and projects ensuring that all policies and contractual guidelines are clearly identified as required by the case.

  • Provide verbal or written responses to inquiries to management and other internal and external customers.

  • Acts as a resource and provides needed assistance to providers in resolving escalated service-related issues

  • Provides the customer with related information to answer the unasked questions, e.g. additional plan details, benefit plan details, member self-service tools, etc. Uses customer service threshold framework to make financial decisions to resolve member issues.

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma / GED (or higher)

  • 1+ years customer service/Billing experience in an office or professional setting

  • We are also open to experience in any related positions (Banking, invoicing/order processing, AP/AR, etc.)

  • Applicants should have computer skills, database, website navigation and working knowledge of Microsoft outlook, word and excel.

  • Experience working with numbers, being detailed and accurate, documentation and multitasking skills are a must, as well as good problem-solving and critical thinking skills.

  • Must have the ability to research, and problem solve.

Details:

  • Pay: $17 - $18/hr.

  • Pay cycle – weekly | medical, dental & vision benefits offered.

  • Schedule: Monday – Friday | 10:00 am – 6:00 pm

  • After 6 months the organization pays 100% of health insurance benefits.

  • Monday – Friday schedule | No weekends
