Crystal Cruises Inventory Controller in Aventura, Florida

Job Summary

The Inventory controller supports the revenue management dept. by monitoring, maintaining and managing the suites inventory availability within the reservation system in order to maximize ship occupancy in each single cruise.

Responsibilities and Accountabilities

  • Inserts cabins allocation in the reservation system, according to Rev Management guidelines

  • Performs analysis on ship occupancy

  • Monitor and maintain suites inventory defining real vs guarantee mix

  • Restrict single/upper berths according to ship safety limits

  • Manage option terms setting and extension

  • Manage Overbooking, waiting lists, Paid Upsells and Free Upgrades

  • Manage Cruise segments

  • Manage Grand Voyage and World Cruise suite allocation

  • Monitor Group allotments and their suite allocation

  • Monitor and approves reduced fare and no revenue guest requests and creates their booking

  • Provides dispatches and maintains regular communication with onboard.

Work Environment

Works in a typical office environment with quiet-to-moderate noise generated by computer printer, fax machine and light traffic. Traveling may be required.

Physical Demands

Requires sitting, standing, walking, bending, and reaching. May require lifting or pushing up to 25 pounds. Requires manual dexterity sufficient to operate standard office machines such as computers, fax machines, calculators, the telephone, and other office equipment.

Expected Hours of Work

The position is fulltime and frequently requires working additional time outside of normal business hours.

Requirements

Skills/Qualifications:

  • Fluent English, any additional European language is an advantage

  • Previous experience in cruises or hotel inventory

  • Good knowledge of Excel

  • Strong problem solving and decision-making attitude

  • Strong analytical skills
