ENTRUST Solutions Group Welding Inspector - Seasonal in Austin, Texas

Description

Are you looking to join an innovative engineering consulting firm with a strong field services team that supports clients in over 35 different industries? Entrust Solutions Group has embraced growing markets such as renewables, power engineering services, EV infrastructure, data analytics, and geospatial with cutting edge engineering, consulting, and automation services.

We have a current need for a Seasonal Welding Inspector based in the Austin, TX area.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and direct pipeline and gas distribution field activities performed by contracted company personnel ensuring that federal laws and construction standards, company and safety policies, and regulatory requirements are met

  • Perform quality control checks on work being performed by contracted crews to evaluate and ensure code compliance

  • Record accurate records of work performed by contracted company personnel from safety and efficiency perspectives

  • Conduct daily safety inspections to ensure work is performed in compliance with OSHA standards

  • Maintain pipe stencil information including wall thickness, grade and heat numbers

Requirements:

  • 5 years' experience in the utility or pipeline industries or related industry

  • 1 year coating experience

  • Must have reliable transportation for fieldwork or site visits in Austin, TX

  • AWS CWI or CPWI certification

  • API 1169 certification preferred, but not required

  • Comfortable working a minimum of 5, 10-hour days
