Student Recruitment: Engage with prospective students via phone, email, and individual meetings. Conduct presentations and tours pertaining to College of Fine Arts opportunities with an emphasis on our art, design and creative tech offerings. Implement communications strategy to encourage and support prospective students through each stage of the enrollment process using email, social media, departmental websites and printed materials. Utilizeclient-relationship-management(CRM) database to plan and manage engagement with prospective undergraduate students throughout the college search and enrollment process. Travel to implement recruitment strategy.Admissions Processing and Review Management. Collaborate with department stakeholders and COFA director of admissions to manage application requirements for first-time-in-college, external transfer and internal transfer applicants. Collaborate with the Office of Admissions and Academic Information Systems to facilitate student-centered application processes. Proactively identify and address challenges students may experience; assist students as needed. Coordinate application review processes in collaboration with faculty reviewers, the COFA director of admissions, and Office of Admissions. Coordinate identification of students for scholarship consideration.Event Coordination: Develop and coordinate Department of Art and Art History and School of Design and Creative Technologies recruitment, admissions and yield events, including but not limited to on-campus events, individual and group visits, virtual events, and off-campus programs. Determine appropriate audience, schedule, agenda and venue; secure space and arrange for A/V and custodial support; coordinate event-related marketing, communications and registration; coordinate participation of faculty, students and staff as needed; monitor projected and actual expenditures in accordance with budget allocation.College of Fine Arts Teamwork: Contribute as a member of the College of Fine Arts Admissions Team, collaborating with and supporting colleagues and student ambassadors. Facilitate or assist with college and university-wide events hosted by the College of Fine Arts and Office of Admissions. Contribute to the development of the strategic recruitment plan and assess effectiveness of recruitment activities in shaping outcomes. Ensure that all processes follow procedures established by the department, college and related campus units.Program-related and Higher Education Knowledge. Maintain strong working knowledge about the Department of Art and Art History, School of Design and Creative Technologies, College of Fine Arts, and university to serve as an expert resource for prospective students, families, and school and community-based organization (CBO) partners. Seek out and attend periodic training opportunities and conduct informal research related to college admissions and broader trends in higher education. Help identify schools and CBOs with which the college may partner to advance strategic enrollment goals and student success. Assist with cultivation of strategic partnerships.
